WORK AT HOME NEWS

BIOREMEDIATION FOR PROFIT

This homebased enterprise would be great for someone who scores high interest in "Plants," or who just likes making money. The business helps restaurants and others save the high cost associated with getting rid of grease. The bacteria you grow will eat grease turning it into entirely safe carbon dioxide and water. Positive cash flow in just the first few months with modest investment. Call 1-800-485-5040.

RECRUITING A VIRTUAL WORKFORCE

At home workers are needed in all areas for home based employment as telephone workers. Vast opportunities exist (Election Year Coming!) for researchers, survey takers, verifiers, and telemarketers. This is a two step process that starts with telephone based training at home. The training emphasizes basic telephone techniques and caller handling skills. The training is augmented with well designed materials to continue training at home. Workers with basic skills training will be presented to National telemarketers to fill employment slots. State of the art technology and Employer specific training will follow. More information call 1-800-485-5040.

COLLECTION AGENCY

Average net before taxes in this business is $50,000. There's plenty of room for competition. This is an especially good at home business opportunity for a husband-wife team. Complete technology support is available for anyone. Very low break even point for this business due to it's low price of entry. If you have a phone, you have your most important piece of office equipment. Call 1-800-485-5040 for details.

SKILLS WILL REPLACE JOBS

The concept of the job is fading from the working landscape, says William Bridges, author of "Job Shift: How to Prosper in a Workplace Without Jobs".

"What is going on today is not just the disappearance of some number of jobs, or jobs in particular industries. What is disappearing is 'the job' itself," according to Bridges. In the future, workers will possess a variety of skills and responsibilities, rather than being confined to the parameters of a traditional job description.

Bridges believes that the workplace is moving toward "micro-businesses," where people will work for a number of different companies. The placement of workers will depend on what particular skills are needed for a project. Intel, Microsoft, Motorola, and IDEO Product Development are already assigning workers this way.

The transition to the new work system will not be easy, warns Bridges. "It took people several generations to learn, gropingly and painfully, how to base their lives on their jobs. We're going to have much less time to learn to live without them."
